50 shades

Finished my first 50 Shades yesterday. I'm halfway through the second book. And I didn't skip parts - LOL. Let's just say I had to cough more than usual to get through the book. And I would've thrown it against the wall (like I did with the Twilight Series) had I not been reading it on my laptop.

I now understand why they call it "Mommy Porn". And why they compare it to the Twilight series. And why they want Ian Somerhalder to play Christian in the movie version. It's definitely not for the young to read.

Do I like it? No comment. Hahaha.

Oh come on is that a good or a bad kinda laughter? :P

I believe it was a sign that the only opportunity I had to buy the 1st book (the 2nd and 3rd were available), it was out of stock.

A sign that I not waste my money on a trashy novel. LOL

I've read several bad reviews about it so now I have some hesitation on whether it is worth purchasing.

Daphne3 LaurA, don't buy the book. I'll send you the first one and let you decide.

Is it trashy? Yes it is.
Is it a waste of money. Yes it is.
Was the writing good? No! More like a very amateur Harold Robbins.

Did I like it? Well, it warranted a blog post and I'm reading the third book. Hahaha.

A line in the book says, "there's a thin line between pain and pleasure". And that's all I'm going to say. :D

I haven't started the 2nd yet but will do so in due time like perhaps next year? LOL
